Dr. G. Tripp Jones, a distinguished physician, was born and raised in Loris, South Carolina. After earning his BS from Clemson University in 1971 and his MD from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1975, Dr. Jones completed his post-graduate training at UF Shands in Jacksonville, Florida from 1975 to 1980. He dedicated over three decades to practicing Hematology and Medical Oncology from 1980 to 2011. His leadership extended beyond his medical practice, serving on the Board of Directors at Lexington Medical Center from 2011 to 2022, where he was Chair in both 2019 to 2020. Dr. Jones has been an influential member of the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame since 2008, serving as President in 2019. He also currently contributes to the Lexington Richland Airport Commission. He is a proud husband, father of two sons, and grandfather to four grandchildren.
